Serhii Liubych

On March 7, 2022, Serhiy Lyubych drove his car from Bucha to Рostomel to buy drinking water. Eyewitnesses claim that Serhiy got out of the car and was kidnapped by the Russian military. The occupiers put a bag over Serhiy’s head and took him away. Serhiy’s empty bag was found at the scene, and his car was found without wheels. Serhiy has not been seen since. As of April 30, 2022, Serhiy Lyubich is being held in pretrial detention center number 2 in Novozybkov, in the Bryansk region of Russia. At the request of Human Rights Watch and the Red Cross, the Russians officially acknowledged Serhiy’s detention in Russia.
