Ihor Steblevskyi

On March 22, 2022, Lyudmyla Shevchenko, the wife of Ihor Steblevskyi, came under mortar attack by the occupiers and was seriously wounded in the legs. The Russians took the woman to a field hospital; Ihor went with her. However, at one of the checkpoints on the way, Ihor Steblevskyi was detained and sent to a «filtration camp». Lyudmyla Shevchenko’s body was later found 10 kilometres from her home. She was buried on November 30, 2022. According to other liberated prisoners from Kyiv, Ihor Steblevskyi was held and tortured in pretrial detention center number 2 in Novozybkiv, Bryansk Oblast, Russia. His whereabouts are currently unknown.
