Russian occupiers kidnapped, then arrested and took to Moscow a 44- year-old athlete from Melitopol, Andrii Golubev, a former border guard, kung fu coach.

He is accused of participating in terrorism; the Russians held a court hearing in his case without notifying the interested parties and ignored his appeal. On May 18, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea issued a ruling, according to which Andrii was remanded in custody for two months.

He was recently transferred to Lefortovo Prison in Moscow. Andrii’s 73-year-old mother, spouse and young son Zlatomyr (aged 8) are waiting for him back home. In addition, there is information that the pre-trial detention center does not provide him with proper treatment, which may in the near future lead to disability and require urgent surgery.
