Seven years of impunity for war crimes. What should Ukraine do?

On November 11, human rights activists and the authors of the draft law on war criminals informed representatives of embassies and international missions in Ukraine about the situation around the issue of impunity for war crimes in Ukraine and the role of the bill No
2689 in overcoming this problem. In September 2020, the bill passed the first reading. However, currently, its adoption is being
delayed and a range of amendments have been tabled that effectively distort the text of the bill. The authors of the bill outlined the threats posed by these amendments and called on the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada to adopt the law on war criminals.
