Berlin’s Solidarity with Ukraine: Talks on Human Rights and Social Justice Initiatives
On Wednesday 20, the German Bundestag delegation and the Rosa-Luxemburg Foundation met the Center for Civil Liberties human rights experts.
Discussions encompassed the liberation of civilians and prisoners of war, with a special focus on deported children. Topics also included challenges related to establishing a tribunal for Russian war criminals and investigating genocide crimes, particularly under the ongoing war conditions.
This visit represents another significant step on Ukraine’s way towards strengthening cooperation with our partners who have been standing with Ukraine from the first days of the Russian invasion.
The visit of the Left party MP to Kyiv is a sign of Berlin’s solidarity. Berlin wants to help Ukraine, which last year applied to join the European Union, make progress in improving the rule of law, fighting corruption, workers’ rights, and approaching European social rights standards.
CCL extends its gratitude to the Rosa-Luxemburg Foundation for making this visit possible, as well as to our German and Ukrainian partners for their active participation.
