Make Russia Pay. This is real.

Ukraine is currently engaged in the biggest war in Europe since the end of World War II. A war unleashed by the terrorist state of Russia with the support of Belarus, Iran, and North Korea. The dictators Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko and the Russian and Belarusian military must be held accountable before an international court for their crimes.

However, true justice lies not only in the punishment of war criminals but also in the economic responsibility of the aggressor for all the damage caused.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Western countries have frozen about half of the gold and foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank of Russia, which is almost $300 billion. Most of these funds are held in the G7 countries and the European Union. Transferring confiscated Russian assets to Ukraine will be the first step towards future reparations from Russia.

What is this money needed for?

No money will ever compensate for the enormous grief that the Russian Federation has brought to Ukrainians. No money can bring back a child killed by a Russian missile to their parents or return to the Ukrainian defenders their forever lost health.

However, the confiscated Russian funds will help Ukraine rebuild the infrastructure destroyed by the Russians, treat the wounded and support the victims of the war, and, most importantly, strengthen Ukraine’s defence capabilities so that it can continue to fight against Russian aggression and ultimately win.

We, the undersigned, urge the G7 and the EU to release all frozen Russian assets to aid Ukraine as soon as possible.

How can we help unfreeze this money?

With this petition, we urge the leaders of the G7 countries and the EU member states to take the following immediate and comprehensive measures:

– create a joint G7-EU coalition to confiscate Russian assets and demonstrate the unity of the world’s democracies to hold Russia accountable;

– declare the decision to work on the confiscation of $300 billion of Russian assets;

– confiscate $300 billion in RCB assets and provide those funds to Ukraine, ensuring justice, fighting further aggression, and providing Ukraine with essential resources for its self-defence. Russian money must save Ukraine now. Make Russia Pay.
