Viktor Humeniuk

Viktor Humeniuk was detained by the Russian military in his home on July 25, 2022, during the occupation of the city of Kherson. After a few days of searching, his family managed to find out that Viktor was taken to a «torture chamber« where he was held for 15 days. Later, he was transferred to the Kherson pretrial detention center, where he was held for over three months. On November 5, 2022, the Russian military took Viktor to an unknown location. As of June 16, 2023, former prisoners report that Viktor was probably in pretrial detention center number 1 in Simferopol; he was later transferred to pretrial detention center number 2. Currently, Viktor is in critical condition. He has a group 2 disability, heart disease, angina pectoris, kidney disease, and numerous hernias, and requires immediate surgery.
