Ivan Remez

The Russian military detained 31-year-old Ivan Remez in Hostomel on March 6, 2022 while he was delivering humanitarian aid to the elderly on his bicycle. Ivan’s girlfriend spoke to two released prisoners of war who told her that they had seen Ivan in pretrial detention center number 1 in Kursk. After several months of searching, Ivan’s family received an anonymous audio recording stating that Ivan was in captivity. At present, Ivan is probably being held in prison in the Russian Federation.
