Podcast: Maria Tomak – Ukraine Assembly member Nadiia Savchenko’s health is worsening after 40 day hunger strike

In this podcast, Ukraine NGO activist Maria Tomak, discusses her health concerns for Parliamentary Assembly member Nadiia Savchenko, who is on hunger strike.

Savchenko, a member of the Ukraine delegation to the assembly, has not taken food in more than 40 days. “Her health is getting worse and worse everyday,” says Tomak, who took part in an assembly hearing earlier this week, on the ‘humanitarian concerns with regard to captured people during the conflict in Ukraine.’
