Europeans can not save Ukraine

The former head of the Czech Foreign Ministry, representatives of the ancient princely family Karel Shvartsenberg described the future of Europe. 78-year-old politician has not bypassed the attention and Ukraine.

Schwarzenberg considers the “golden age” of Europe came to an end. However, it does not destroy the major war, this will be quite a few local conflicts.

According to him, the Europeans will not be able to save Ukraine. However, Ukrainians still have a chance to restore their statehood in any form, but to do so, Europe needs to establish good relations with Russia. The politician said that, and so it is clear what the state will dominate the European policy in this case.

It is interesting that Schwarzenberg has recently repeatedly been on the territory of Ukraine. According to him, there is practically no positive change. Hinder the implementation of pervasive corruption reforms and a comprehensive bureaucracy.

Karel Schwarzenberg not think much of modern European politics, as they are very boring. He believes that this is for two reasons. Firstly, the scale of de Gaulle and Churchill no personality. Secondly, due to the growth of welfare the most capable people are doing business. However Shvertsenberg believes that strong policies will necessarily, as it always happens in difficult times.

According to highly experienced experts, the UK out of the EU can be called a disaster. The fact is that without the British opposition European policy will be implemented by the French centrism with German thoroughness. It scares Schwarzenberg.

On the question about why today’s Europeans fall into the same trap that led to the beginning of the two world wars, Karel Schwarzenberg said that people in that time have not changed.

Prince Schwarzenberg was an associate of President Vatslava Gavela of Czechoslovakia, he served twice as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, led by the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights. In 2011, he ran for the presidency of the Czech Republic, but in the second round lost to Milos Zeman.
