The Center for Civil Liberties invites NGOs and media to the training “Data Analytics and AI for Sustainable Impact” by Gauthier Vasseur
The Center for Civil Liberties, with the support of the University of Berkeley (USA), invites you to a one-day training conducted by Gauthier Vasseur, the Executive Director of the Fisher Center for Business Analytics and founder of the Berkeley Alliance for Inclusive AI Program.

This practical training focuses on using key analytical methods and tools tailored to the needs of NGOs and media involved in documenting, systematizing, and investigating war crimes.
The training will consist of four workshops:
- Consolidate the data foundations – Catch review;
- Natural Language Coding to scale and boost data processing and analysis;
- Advanced Techniques to tackle specific challenges;
- Power of AI – Machine Learning and how it can serve your cause.
Prerequisites: Proficiency in English at least at the upper-intermediate level, skills in working with spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets), and preferably experience or basic skills in data analysis, including data management, data modeling, ETL processes (Extracting, Transforming, and Loading Data), and basic programming formulas.
Participation is free of charge with mandatory registration. Venue details will be provided to confirmed participants.
About the Instructor:
- Gauthier Vasseur started his career developing programs and conferences on information systems in finance with the French Association of Corporate Treasurers (AFTE) in the early 2000s.
- In 2004, he became the Director of Product Marketing for performance management solutions at Hyperion in Silicon Valley, later acquired by Oracle.
- Since 2007, he has held various positions, including Director of Financial Data Management at Google and teaching data processing at Stanford.
- In 2017, he founded Data Wise Academy, a boutique business analytics training firm in Menlo Park, California.
- In 2018, he joined UC Berkeley to lead the Fisher Center for Business Analytics at the Haas School of Business.
- Since 2018, he has been actively working with Ukraine, cooperating with the Ukrainian office of USAID, Promprylad.Renovation, SET University, IT Arena, Superhumans Center and many others, recently become an Ambassador of AI & Business Analytics at UN Global Compact Ukraine.
