Cooperation between the Ukrainian and German Societies. Oleksandra Romantsova Delivered a Lecture for the Fast Track Programme Participants

On 28 February, Oleksandra Romantsova, Executive Director of the Center for Civil Liberties, delivered an online lecture on the topic “Opportunities and Importance of Civic Engagement for Personal and Social Development”, including a Q&A Session, for the participants of the 2nd cohort of the national Fast Track programme.

Fast Track is a national programme targeting young and motivated Ukrainians who came to Germany because of Russia’s aggression in 2022 and would like to continue their personal and social growth. The programme intends to help participants boost their individual resources, network and cooperate for the benefit of their growth and to strengthen the Ukrainian community in Germany.

“We talked with the programme participants about the specifics of developing social projects in various fields. Of course, it was about working in the public sector and using state programmes in Germany, especially in the federal states. About working in the media sector, where it makes sense to develop a lot of Ukrainian projects countering Russian propaganda and collaboration and to raise awareness of the context among Germans. And about impact-driven commercial projects with social responsibility and green focus (i.e., environmentally-driven ones). Young Ukrainians are able to implement all the above within the programme, thereby building interaction between the Ukrainian and German societies and fulfilling themselves”, Oleksandra shared her thoughts.
