CCL and Euromaidan SOS launched an interactive map of human rights defenders’ abductions

The Center for Civil Liberties, together with Euromaidan SOS, developed and launched an interactive map of violent abductions of human rights defenders, activists, journalists and local government representatives.

After the beginning of the second stage of the Russian-Ukrainian war on February 24, 2022, due to regular abductions of Ukrainians by the Russian military, the database of abductions is regularly filled.

The interactive map is a visualization of the current situation divided by regions. It contains information about the abductions of local activists with a pro-Ukrainian position.

The cases concern people who refused to cooperate with the occupiers. In the civilized world, it is unacceptable to put pressure on a person with an active civil position, unfortunately, for Russia, such concepts are empty sound.

If you haven’t found a case of the violent abduction of a human rights defender, activist, journalist, or local government representative on the Map, let us know.

We also record violent abductions of Ukrainians regardless of the field of activity using the form and our team will contact you.
