The book Women and War is available for pre-order. Oleksandra Matviychuk is one of the characters.

The American publishing house Academic Studies Press has announced the pre-order of the book “Women and War” by Orelia Bros. The publication tells the story of thirty Ukrainian women aged 10 to 72 who live, flourish, develop and radiate strength in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war. One of the narrators is Oleksandra Matviychuk, head of the Center for Civil Liberties. The profits from the book sales will be used to develop the human rights organization.

Through the personal experience of Ukrainian women, the author seeks to familiarize readers with the realities of life during an armed conflict. How does this affect the very essence of women? Do they feel less protected, or do they become stronger in spite of the circumstances? How have their everyday life and professional activities changed? These and other questions are answered by Olha Stefanishyna, Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, singer and author Jerry Heil, press officer of the First Separate Tank Brigade Dina Wong, and other incredible heroines.

“These fragments of life reveal the horrors of the conflict as well as the humanity of the survivors,” the publisher notes.

Pre-orders can be placed here.
