Roman Shulga worked as an auxiliary worker at the EcoSpeis recreation center. On March 20, 2022, an armored personnel carrier filled with Russian soldiers entered the area and abducted Roman and two other men: Oleksandr Nesterenko and Yaroslav Platonov. According to unconfirmed reports, all three men are being held in the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation, in the Novozybkiv detention center.
