International appeal: European researchers and cultural figures have called for unconditional support for Ukrainians
“Let’s not engage in an unjust battle! We must support Ukrainians without hesitation or caution. ” 80 cultural figures and scientists from Europe appealed to the world to support the Ukrainian people in their struggle against Russia.
After Russia’s full-scale invasion, writers and scholars from around the world are urging “all those who demand freedom for themselves” to “stand with Ukrainians.”
“By defending Putin’s war, we are depriving ourselves of our right to be free,” they said.
“Let’s not engage in an unjust battle! We must support Ukrainians without hesitation or caution,” the appeal reads.
The union stressed that they appreciate the overwhelming responsibility of large and small Western nations for the destruction of the world. The authors also condemned the wars waged by Russia to ensure the continuation of its dominance over vast regions, including our own, and condemned their defense of dictatorships that are inadmissible to defend in order to protect their interests.
Scholars and writers are convinced that they are selectively using the values they declare, allowing refugees from the South to die at their doors and welcoming “their own” with open arms.
